'Paris, Open All Night' — Jacopozzi's illuminations at the Roger-Viollet gallery

The Roger-Viollet gallery, rue de Seine in Paris, is currently showing “Paris, ouvert la nuit” (Paris, Open All Night), an exhibition devoted to the nocturnal Paris of the 1920s and 1930s. Among the works are beautiful photographs of Fernand Jacopozzi’s illuminations, alongside other visions of the electric capital between the wars.
The prints come from the Roger-Viollet agency’s archives and bear the signatures of photographers such as Jacques Boyer, André Vigneau, François Kollar and Maurice-Louis Branger.
